FEMALE SOLDIER IN ABU GHRAIB PHOTOS GETS NEW LAWYER
The AP reports PFC Lynndie England, the female soldier depicted in many of the Abu Ghraib prison photos, has retained a Denver civilian criminal defense attorney. The previous civilian lead attorney was fired due to legal problems of his own, including an ongoing disbarment hearing. PFC England's Article 32 hearing (the military equivalent of a preliminary hearing) is scheduled for June 21.
